Description
This Tin Pan Alley tune by Jack Norworth and Albert Von Tilzer is the unofficial anthem of North American baseball.
The song’s chorus is traditionally sung during the middle of the seventh inning of a baseball game. Fans are generally encouraged to sing along, and at some ballparks, the words “home team” are replaced with the team name.
James L. King III’s arrangement is quite faithful to the original, and includes the verse, which is heard far less often than the chorus.
Historical information, and a facsimile of the original cover are available.
The Large Print version has all the repeats removed, for ease and convenience in page handling.
Key: C Major
Mood: Happy, relaxed, then joyful and enthusiastic
