Description

This Malaysian folk song is light and humorous, using metaphors to show young people falling in love and courting each other. The Special Notes section has the original lyrics and an English translation/paraphrase, with an explanation of the silly song.

Students will gain experience with traditional I-IV-V7 keyboard voicings, and hand position changes in the right hand. It’s a wonderful cultural exploration for students of all ages.
