Description
This mixed-level duet features an intermediate secondo part that looks and sounds harder than it is, thanks to lots of pattern-based repetition. The late elementary primo part keeps most of the boogie-woogie sound without being difficult, having several accidentals and only a few notes out of the position. Whether it is played as a teacher-student duet or with siblings who are at different levels, this piece is a terrific recital number, and another great “King James” boogie!
Engraved in “facing pages” format as well as “combined score” format for maximum flexibility.
Key: F major
Mood: grooving, swinging
Pedagogy: boogie rhythm, blues, accidentals, chromatic scales, wwing
