Description
This jazzy arrangement of MUELLER, J. R. Murray’s melody (not CRADLE-SONG by William Kirkpatrick) to the popular German-American Christmas lyrics sometimes attributed to Martin Luther, is delightfully tasteful, with walking bass, a bass solo, and rich chords with many octave spreads, and a few rolled chords with the span of a ninth. Good for sanctuary or secular Christmas gigs.
Key: F major
Mood: peaceful, swaying.
Pedagogy: chords spanning more than one octave, walking bass, bass solo.
