One of the most loved of 1950s rock and roll pianists is “Fats” Domino, whose lyrical, rolling, piano playing created a sharp contrast to the flash and pounding zeal of Jerry Lee Lewis. In Playing Dominos, students will get to practice keeping one hand the same dynamic while the other hand changes, as well as blues scales and other riffs popular during the early Rock ‘n’ Roll era. The 12/8 time signature gives the piece an even shuffle/swing.
