Pijlon is an anagram of Joplin, and this piece pays homage to the classic ragtime style, which, as Joplin said, should not be played too fast so that you can experience the “intoxicating rhythms.” This intermediate solo will become a go-to piece in your studio for students who are interested in playing more ragtime-style pieces.
