Description
As the performers play this piece, it becomes clear that both Primo and Secondo want to play Middle C, but the other person got to it first! As the piece progresses, there is more cooperation (and challenges for both parts as they now share Middle C between them). This duet is absolutely perfect for intermediate-level “hams” who can play up the “fighting” aspect in a concert or recital. It is engraved in a combined-score style to help the performers understand the dramatic interactions with each other.
